The CAPIC Board of Directors sets CAPIC policy and oversees its implementation. They are actively involved in leading CAPIC, conducting Quality Assurance reviews, and representing the members of CAPIC. CAPIC Board members serve for 3-year terms, with elections for the open positions held each Spring, and terms beginning on July 1st, the start of the fiscal year. CAPIC Board Officers (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer) are elected annually by the Board of Directors themselves and provide leadership for the CAPIC Board. The term for CAPIC Board Officers runs on a calendar year cycle (Jan 1 – Dec 31). For 2018, with the ending of terms for some officers on June 30th, mid-year changes to the CAPIC board leadership were made at our June board meeting.
The CAPIC Board Officers for the second half of 2018 (July 1 to December 31) are:

Treasurer: Sukie Magraw, Ph.D.
The CAPIC Board meets quarterly, rotating between Northern (NoCA) and Southern California (SoCA) locations. For 2018-2019, the Board meeting dates are:
• September 28th and 29th, 2018: NoCA: @ JFKU – Pleasant Hill, CA
• December 7th and 8th, 2018: NoCA: @ JFKU – Pleasant Hill, CA*
• March 1st and 2nd, 2019: NoCA: @ JFKU – Pleasant Hill, CA
• June 7th and 8th, 2019: NoCA: @ JFKU – Pleasant Hill, CA*
Note: While we have traditionally alternated holding our board meetings between Northern and Southern California, in order to reduce expenses, all quarterly board meetings are now being held at JFKU, where the CAPIC Office is located.
CAPIC program members are generally invited to participate in the open sessions of our board meetings, held during the Friday afternoon session, generally from 4 – 5 pm. Program members may participate in-person or via teleconference. NOTE: If there is no indication of desired Member participation, or if board work is sufficient, the open session may be cancelled. Check first with the CAPIC Office to confirm. More details are generally also provided on the calendar event page for the upcoming board meeting, viewable on the CAPIC home page.
