Neil Ribner, PhD

Dr. Ribner is a licensed psychologist with 30 years experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.

Neil Ribner is a Professor and the Director of the Clinical Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) Program and Director of the Family Center at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego.

Dr. Ribner has had extensive experience in therapy with adolescents, couples’ and family therapy, and in conducting forensic custody evaluations, and is the author of three books:

  • “First Sessions with Adolescents,” published in February, 2000
  • “Handbook of Juvenile Forensic Psychology,” published in 2002
  • “Healing from Violence: Latino Men’s Journey to a New Masculinity,” published in 2008.

He is also a consultant to several San Diego mental health agencies and trains the psychiatry residents in the Child and Adolescent Program of the US Navy.

Dr. Ribner has been married for 37 years and has 3 grown children.
