Jorge Wong, PhD

Asian Americans for Community Involvement, San Jose

Dr. Wong is the Director of Behavioral Health Services at Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI), the largest nonprofit health and human services provider focused on Asian Americans in Santa Clara County.

Jorge Wong, Ph. D., CCEP, CHC is a graduate of Pacific Graduate School of Psychology (PGSP) and completed his internship at Cermak Health Services of Cook County’s Department of Correction.

Dr. Wong actively serves in various local and statewide organizations including the Dr. MLK Jr. Association of Santa Clara Valley, the Association of Drug Contractors Agencies, Association of Mental Health Contractors Agencies, Chairs the Membership Committee for the California Psychological Association, member of the Consumer and Family Leadership Committee of the CA Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission, Advisory Committee for the California Department of Mental Health’s Loan Assumption Program, and Community Advisory Panel for Kaiser Permanente’s Research Project on Genes, Environment, and Health.

Dr. Wong is a CA Licensed Psychologist, Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional, and Certified in Healthcare Compliance. His clinical experience includes work with the chronically and severely mentally ill, suicide and crisis intervention, corrections and forensics, delinquency prevention, substance abuse, monolingual Latinos and Asian immigrant/refugee populations.

He is an Adjunct Clinical Faculty at PGSP’s Kurt and Barbara Gronowski Clinic. On his spare time he joins his colleagues and trainees in intramural volleyball, dragon boat races, mud runs and film festivals.
